Sand Crab Classic Perch Derby
The 15th Annual Sand Crab Classic Perch Derby was a huge hit! Thank you to everyone who came out- we will see you all March next year!
The Sand Crab Classic Perch Derby has been a family-oriented fishing activity in the Monterey Bay community for going on 15 years. On the second Saturday of March each year, anglers vie for the Sand Crab Classic trophies and prizes of fishing gear by heading to local beaches and fishing for surf perch. This event is a great chance to connect the local community with fishing opportunities right out their back door. MBSTP relies heavily upon a membership of active anglers, and the annual Perch Derby is a way to build upon that membership- all while lending significant support to MBSTP’s fisheries restoration programs.

Thanks for another great Albacore Dinner fundraiser!
Thank you to everyone who attended our 2018 Albacore Feed dinner! We could not hold this event without the support and volunteerism from our dedicated members and partners!
The annual Albacore Feed Dinner is the longest-running and largest fundraiser event MBSTP has each year. Every year in early November, MBSTP members and supporters gather for a ticketed dinner of locally-sourced albacore- the night includes door prizes, a raffle, silent auction and demonstrations of MBSTP programs. In recent years, the Albacore Feed has been held at the Castroville Rotary Club. MBSTP Board Members and supporters work extremely hard year-round to make sure every year’s event is as fun and successful as possible.
We are grateful to our continued supporters, and would like to invite first-timers to come out for our next event in November 2019!
