Great news for the MBSTP Salmon & Trout Education (STEP) program! We are very excited to announce the award of a NOAA Bay Watershed Education & Training Grant of over $50,000! With this grant, MBSTP will offer our traditional 2-day STEP training plus field trips for students and teachers involved in the Program, as well as monthly after-school STEP workshops for teachers!
Last year, 74% of STEP students surveyed showed an increase in environmental stewardship values after experiencing our curriculum- driving home the values of watershed conservation using steelhead as a science learning tool. A huge Thank You to NOAA, as well as everyone who has helped the STEP program make such a positive impact!
